RenderX is pleased to inform you about a new product's availability – DB2XML is now released.

DB2XML is an excellent product for those who need simple, yet very high-performance solution for transforming data from relational databases (such as Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL) and CSV (Comma Separated Values) files to XML. It maps data to certain XML nodes and attributes. DB2XML has a powerful and easy-to use graphical user interface (GUI) to specify data sources, define mapping rules, and generate XML files.

DB2XML can be seamlessly integrated with other RenderX products, such as VDPMill and VisualXSL. DB2XML can be used as a standalone product as well.

DB2XML is currently free for download from the download section.

RenderX has released VisualXSL 2.4.4. This is a recommended bugfix version. It resolves compatibility problems related to different versions of XEPWin installed on target machine.

RenderX has released VDPMill 4.0. This major release includes XML generators support in VDPMill Ticket/Interactive applications. A command-line driver for MapForce, pre-configured as XML generator, is available for download here. The full list of improvements is below:

RenderX has successfully tested Altova MapForce 2011 in a database reporting workflow which also included RenderX VisualXSL and VDPMill:

• Use Altova MapForce to develop database-to-XML mapping for your data.
• Design reports in VisualXSL - a graphical XML report editor.
• Run VDPMill to generate reports.

RenderX has launched DocBookPublishing.com, a new web service for DocBook formatting. This first release allows to submit documents either using web interface or using the REST API. The full list of features is below:

RenderX has released XEP 4.19. This major release brings new extensions, output features and improvements:

• RichMedia extension: interactive Flash applications in PDF, with flashvars and embeddable resources
• PDF comments extension: sticky notes and file attachments
• Overprinting control in PDF and Postscript
• Extended XSL 1.1 scaling features: @allowed-width-scale, @allowed-height-scale and the values "scale-up-to-fit" and "scale-down-to-fit" of @content-width and @content-height
• Styling for bookmark titles
• All existing support for XSL 1.1 has been refactored from XSLT into Java code for higher performance and lower memory requirements
• XForms option for XHTML output generator
• XPS output producer supports SVG images

Other improvements include support for EXIF data in JPEG images, interlaced PNG images with alpha channel, refactoring and bugfixes in Thai processing.

The DocBench bundle now includes oXygen XML Editor 12.1.

RenderX has released VisualXSL 2.4.2. This version resolves several problems:

• Tables no longer have borders by default
• Performance problems that may occur when loading and processing large documents with flow layout
• Custom TranslateProject is now based on a template which body is a separate file rather than hard-coded
• Fixed an issue with missing visual styles of checkboxes and radio buttons if they are used as Form fields
