DocBench distribution includes oXygen 8. A number of other improvements and bug fixes, including relaxed limitation for strip/tile tags in TIFF processing, default 'xHeight' in Type1 fonts. XEPwin 2.0 has also been updated and now it includes XEP 4.8. |

Graphics of the Americas, the second largest U.S.-based annual international graphic communications exhibition and Xplor International debuts the XML/PDF exhibit pavilion, February 28 through March 4, 2007 in Miami Beach, Florida. In addition, the pavilion will be offering topic-specific conference curricula and vendor tutorials. As part of these curricula and vendor tutorials, Kevin Brown was selected to run the XML Forum: Document Production for Implementers and XML Forum: Document Production for Decision Makers. Speakers will consist of Management and Technical personnel from AIG, Choicepoint Precision Marketing, Crane Software, Elan GMK, foActive LLC, Industrial Medium, Innodata-Isogen, RenderX, Lehman Brothers, and PostNexus. |

XEP 4.7 released, with some support for XSL 1.1 and improvements in AFP backend |

RenderX has released XEP 4.7. The new version supports some XSL 1.1 features in FO namespace and includes major improvements in AFP backend. XEP 4.7 supports XSL 1.1 change-bars, bookmarks, indexes, fo:page-number-citation-last and page-position="only". These features are now supported in FO namespace, with some limitations. XEP 4.7 also includes major improvements in AFP backend: support for FORMDEFs, 'dashed' and 'dotted' line styles, shading patterns and image caching. XEPwin 2.0 has also been updated and now it includes XEP 4.7. |

RenderX has released XEP 4.6, a new version of its XSL processor and accompanying tools. The new version introduces AFP output generation - XEP can now output documents in AFP format. New features include:

RenderX is pleased to announce new support for generating AFP documents. The new XEP AFP generator is available with a special license. AFP is an architecture standard for high volume transaction output supported by such vendors of printing equipment like IBM, Kodak, Xerox and others. AFP has built-in support for text and raster graphic output, vector graphic, vector and raster fonts and many other features. XEP AFP generator generates documents which are MODCA-P streams that contain PTOCA objects and IOCA objects. XEP AFP generator can also generate an additional stream that can contain raster images as IOCA objects. |

XEPwin 2.0 and WinSuite Kit released, work with .NET

RenderX has released XEPwin 2.0 and WinSuite Kit. The new versions are intended for .NET Framework 2.0.XEPwin 2.0 distribution includes the most recent builds of XEP 4.5 and WordprocessingML To XSL FO (XSLFO) Converter. MSI installer will download and install required components: .NET Framework 2.0 and J2SE 1.4.2, if they are not yet installed in the system. Users do not need to download anything separately. WinSuite Kit includes a new version of XEP.dll for use with .NET Framework 2.0. License keys issued for version 1.2 of XEPwin and WinSuite Kit are valid for updates to 2.0 versions. |

XML 2005 Conference Proceedings Posted to Public |

Idealliance and RenderX have published the final proceedings from The XML 2005 Conference. The proceedings and slides are available on the conference website. The proceedings themselves represent an excellent demonstration of RenderX software.Authors contributed XML content for their papers and RenderX software was used to produce HTML, PDF and SVG versions of each document. The entire process is automated, including the production of all indexes and organization of the website. |

XEP 4.5 released, includes support for Thai |

RenderX has released XEP 4.5, a new version of its XSL processor and accompanying tools. The new version introduces Thai support - XEP can now render documents written in Thai, performing proper word breaking and glyph composition. This feature requires SUN JDK 1.4+, but XEP will still run with earlier versions. Other improvements include better heuristics for side floats placement, refinements in marker retrieval algorithms, and resolution of fine conformance issues.
